State Team Requirements

3/10/02

An ISTA Member asks the following question:

"1) Can you put a detailed explanation of the state team requirements in regards to shooting the zone shoots? 2) Many of us have heard you don't have to shoot your own zone this year and can still be eligible for the state team. 3) Is it true that by not shooting your own zone you'll only lose your eligibility for the zone team contest held during the state shoot?"

Answers:

1) To be considered for the State Team, shooters must meet the minimum target requirement during the 2002 shooting year:

Minimum Target Requirements:

Category Singles Handicap Doubles
Men 2,500 2,000 1,500
Women, Vets, Sr. Vets 1,500 1,500 1,000
Jr 800 800 600
Sub-Jr 500 500 400

They must shoot the State Shoot's All Around Targets as well as any Illinois Zones Shoot All Around Targets.

Compliments about 2002 State Shoot Program

5/02/2002

From: Mr. Dan Field

"If there was a award for state programs, this years program would win hands down, the directors & those responsible for putting this years program did a excellent job. The program is out early to the membership, contains additional shooter history, vendor advertising has increased, all details for this years shoot are explained thoroughly. This years state shoot may be the largest ever.
